D-Cube Paris partnership
D-Cube Paris is a project led by:
Marne-la-Vallée Descartes Development Agency’s goal is to contribute to the local economic development, to increase synergies between local actors as a way to improve the economic attractiveness of the territory and to promote D-Cube Paris, cluster of the sustainable city. Descartes Agency initiated the D-Cube Paris cluster by gathering since 2010 University of Paris-East, Epamarne, Seine-et-Marne Development, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Seine-et-Marne and companies such as Céleste (IT).
The Paris Vallée-de-la-Marne agglomeration community (CAPVM) is a public institution which gathers 12 municipalities together (Chelles, Pontault-Combault, Champs-sur-Marne, Torcy, Roissy-en-Brie, Noisiel, Lognes, Vaires-sur-Marne, Emerainville, Courtry, Brou-sur-Chantereine and Croissy-Beaubourg). The goal of CAPVM is to work for the towns to achieve planning and investments to improve urbanism, economic development, accommodations, transports and network in its territory. So the CAPVM organizes, finances, creates and manages projects to the general interest.
EPAMARNE and EPAFRANCE are united in their shared mission, which consists in setting up, planning and providing momentum to development throughout Marne-la-Vallée. They are responsible for bringing consistency, in terms of both space and time, to the completion of those elements that will make up new sustainable town. This is a highly complex mission, demanding involvement in a great variety of fields, including long-term planning, land sales, the technical design of neighbourhoods, preparing regulatory application files (Integrated Development Zones – ZACs), promoting the area, marketing and prospecting for companies, and more.
Created in 1991, Seine-et-Marne Dévelopment provides consultancy and project management services to companies looking to develop the French and mainland European markets from a French base. These services are all “made-to-measure” and dependant on company’s individual needs. All companies are assigned a dedicated account manager who will assist them with some, or all, of the following aspects.
University of Paris-Est (UPE) was created on 21 March 2007 and groups together a community of 22 universities, school, research institutes, operating agencies and technical centres. It seeks to build close links between research and technical learning, underpinning a multi-disciplinary, cutting-edge university that can compete on the international stage with strong links between research, life-long training, expertise and knowledge transfer. Also, UPE shapes a space of scientific cooperation which coordinates pedagogical and scientific projects and initiatives to showcase research, in particular for those selected at the Investissements d’Avenir programme (Investment in the Future): Labex – Idefi– Equipex – SATT.
